Princess Haya Initiative for the Development of Health, Physical Education & School Sports

With the support of HRH Princess Haya, the Special Initiative Project (SIP) was launched in 2006 to present a new physical education concept to teachers, students, parents and school administrations. The goal was to encourage children of all ages to participate in sports and adopt healthy lifestyles. Starting with just 11 schools, the initiative has expanded to include all public schools across the Emirate of Dubai. HRH Princess Haya is President of the Princess Haya Initiative for the Development of Health, Physical Education.

Retraining of Racehorses

Retraining of Racehorses (RoR) was founded in 2000 as British Horseracing’s official charity for the welfare of horses which have retired from racing. It raises funds from within racing to provide and maintain facilities for the care, retraining and re-homing of former racehorses and to promote awareness of the suitability of the retrained racehorse for other equine careers. RoR also promotes the adaptability of racehorses to other equestrian activities and has a well-established program of competition sponsorship. In addition, RoR holds clinics across the country to help owners look after and train their former racehorses. In 2009, Princess Haya became RoR’s first Patron. 

World Academy of Sport

The World Academy of Sport (WAoS) is the trusted education partner in world sport, delivering educational programs and creating sustainable long term partnerships for the benefit of sport and partner organisations worldwide. The Academy provides world leading educational programs to international sporting federations and their member constituents around the world, and has established sport specific education partnerships with several high profile international sporting federations. HRH Princess Haya was appointed the Academy's Global Patron in 2010.

The International Jordanian Athlete’s Annual Soccer Tournament

Every year the International Jordanian Athletes Cultural Association arranges a soccer tournament on Princess Haya's birthday in her honor. Princess Haya is the President of the International Jordanian Athletes Cultural Association.

Cartier International Dubai Polo Challenge

The Cartier International Dubai Polo Challenge is the year's most prestigious and celebrated polo tournament in the desert and is part of the impressive series of worldwide Cartier International Polo Days. Now in its fifth year, the tournament is created by the owner of the renowned Desert Palm Polo Club and Resort in Dubai. HRH Princess Haya is the Patron of the Cartier International Dubai Polo Challenge.
