HRH Prince Hashim Bin Al Hussein

Born in Amman on the 10th of June 1981 to Their Majesties King Hussein bin Talal and Queen Noor Al Hussein, Prince Hashim is the 43rd generation direct descendent of the Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him), and the youngest brother of His Majesty King Abdullah II.

Prince Hashim received elementary education in Amman and then attended the schools of St Marks and Fay in the USA. He later graduated from Washington’s Maret School in 1999. Prince Hashim passed out from the Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst in 2000 and was awarded the Prince Saud Bin Abdullah Prize, presented to the cadet with the best aggregate mark in academic subjects. He also received a number of high decorations from the Kingdom and abroad.

Serving as a Major in the Jordan Arab Army’s 3rd Royal Ranger Battalion, His Royal Highness attended several military and security courses.

Prince Hashim was sworn in as Regent on several occasions and accompanied His Majesty King Abdullah II in a number of official visits abroad.

In August 2005, His Royal Highness graduated with Magna Cum Laude Honors from Georgetown University- School of Foreign Service. His Royal Highness' Bachelor of Arts degree is in Regional and Comparative Studies, with concentration in World Regions: The Middle East, also HRH hold a master degree in Islamic Studies.

On January 6th 2006, HRH Prince Hashim bin Al Hussein got married to HRH Princess Fahdah Hashim.

Prince Hashim is currently the Honorary President of the Jordan Kickboxing Association.
